The PRE, protagonist of the international campaign for the first World Horse Day
The UN proclaims July 11 as World Horse Day, an initiative spearheaded by Mongolia in which the PRE participates in the official campaign.
The United Nations (UN) has officially proclaimed July 11 as World Horse Day, an event promoted by the Government of Mongolia with the aim of recognizing the extraordinary contribution that this animal has made to the development of humanity throughout history.
Within the framework of this international celebration, the Pura Raza Española (PRE) horse will have a prominent presence in the official promotional campaign, becoming one of the breeds chosen to represent the universal legacy of the horse.
This participation was made possible thanks to the collaboration of ANCCE, which, at the request of the Government of Mongolia, provided images of the PRE for incorporation into the official audiovisual materials of the international campaign. This initiative constitutes an important recognition of our breed, whose influence has transcended borders and is today present in more than 70 countries. Its international prestige, combined with its functional, morphological, and temperamental qualities, make it one of the great benchmarks of global equestrian culture.
The proclamation of World Horse Day originates in Mongolia, a country where the horse is a symbol of national identity and forms part of its cultural heritage. However, the resolution approved by the United Nations transcends that scope to assert the role that horses have played in the progress of all civilizations and to promote their knowledge, protection, and appreciation by society.
On the occasion of this first official celebration, ANCCE joins this international initiative, reaffirming its commitment to the promotion and projection of the Pura Raza Española as one of the most representative and admired equine breeds in the world.
