    The EU Bans Exports of Horses to Russia


    The European Union has prohibited exports of luxury products to Russia, including horse with an initial value of €300

    Tuesday, the 15th of March, Council Regulation (EU) 2022/428 entered into force, with restrictive measures that were finally approved by the European Union for certain luxury brands, which bans the sales, supply, transfer or export, whether directly or indirectly, any and all luxury items listed in annex XVIII; this includes “Horses” (Purebred Breeding Horses and Others) to any natural or legal person, body or organization in Russia or for use in Russia.

    The ban referred to in Section 1 is applicable to the articles enumerated in annex XVIII and with a value greater than three hundred euros (€300) per item.
