3-day Training Course for Conformation and Functionality Judges Concludes

To prepare for the 2020 season, the last day of a 3-day training course for Conformation and Functionality Judges organized by ANCCE concluded yesterday. The first day of the course was held at the Association offices in Sevilla. It brought together all of the judges from the most recent summons to review the main changes in the Rules and Regulations, as well as variations in the Judging Manual. All of these changes will be approved and published for the general knowledge of breeders, presenters/grooms and judges. Likewise, this technical body delved into the PRE Breed Characteristics and the LG PRE ANCCE Stud Book’s Breeding Program

The subject matter was reviewed once again on day two and three of the course. Both experienced and novice conformation and functionality judges met together for this course. Yeguada de La Cartuja-Hierro del Bocado granted the use of its facilities for the theory and practical sessions. Later, the judges shared their experiences using horses presented in hand and under saddle. Jose Ramon Fernandez, President of the Technical Committee of Judges coordinated the various sessions. Alfonso del Castillo taught the chapter for Conformation while Miguel Morales and Juan Heredia were in charge of Functionality.

During the three-day course, each judge, individually performed assessment tests to see his/her knowledge about the general Rules and Regulations for PRE Conformation-Functional Competitions.

From ANCCE, we greatly appreciate the voluntary collaboration provided by Yeguada de La Cartuja-Hierro del Bocado in Jerez de la Frontera. Once again, this stud farm has provided the Association with the use of its facilities and horses for training courses.
