From ANCCE, we encourage you to participate in any of the Young Horse Selection Tests (PSCJ) due to its importance to genetically grade of your horse/s; this, in turn, will influence the reliability level of the genetic grading of offspring and the breed in general, as well as obtaining the genetic category of Young Recommended Breeding Stock for Dressage, in the event of obtaining the rest of requirements: Global Genetic Index ≥ 100 and health/welfare standards. In this case, the horse/s that achieves said category will be listed in the PRE Breeding Stock catalog and registered in the PRE Stud Book of Young Recommended Breeding Stock records; their names will also be listed on the PRE Stud Book website. This achievement will also be noted their passports and a diploma indicating this achievement will also be sent to the owner/s.
The Breeding Program Management Committee is fully aware of the difficulties related to the participation of colts/fillies in dressage, mainly due to elevated costs. However, it is extremely important for the sake and future of the breed to assess as many horses as possible.
Among its main objectives and responsibilities, ANCCE counts on the PRE Stud Book and development of the Breeding Program with which it has actively collaborated in the launching and execution of the performance tests by means of the Young Horse Selection Tests (PSCJ). At a later date, ANCCE incorporated the Lineal Conformation Score (LCS). With both programs, ANCCE seeks to accelerate the breeding program, both in terms of conformation qualities as well as suitability for dressage.
Lastly, we would like to remind you about the availability on the ANCCE website of the annual Young Horse Selection Tests (PSCJ) 2018 calendar including the tests organized by ANCCE at reduced entry rate. A total of 46 PSCJ will be held throughout Spain. This season begins this weekend in Barcelona with the first PSCJ and will end in Jerez de la Frontera (Cadiz) in September where the Final will be held.
