Changes among Judges and in the composition of the Technical Committee of Judges

In recent weeks, there have been a number of variations among the Judges and the Technical Committee governing these. We believe that these aspects are of interest to breeders, as the Competition Commission is working towards perfect synchronization with the Technical Committee of Judges.

    a) RESIGNATION OF IGNACIO BRAVO, MEMBER OF THE TECHNICAL COMMITTEE OF JUDGES
Ignacio Bravo has resigned his post as a member of the Technical Committee due to personal reasons and conflicts of interest that have arisen in recent weeks. Such conflicts hinder his freedom of action when judging.

    b) LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR JAVIER BAYO
Judge Javier Bayo has requested and been granted a leave of absence by the Technical Committee of Judges for an unlimited amount of time. In the upcoming years, he will be dedicated to the management and consultancy of a stud farm on the American continent. His last responsibility as a Judge was at the Salamanca Competition held this month of July, with his leave of absence beginning as said competition concluded. This is why his name was not included in the draw for judges in the last quarter of the year.

    c) DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS AGAINST ENMA RAYAS
Disciplinary actions have been launched against the Judge Enma Rayas due to a lack of due diligence when notifying conflicts of interest. Said process has set aside as the actual Judge has requested a leave of absence for this year, without this fact being a hindrance for the process to be re-opened when she requests readmission.

    d) DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS AGAINST LUIS COLETO
The Technical Committee of Judges as assessed the events taking place at the Campoonaraya Competition, where Luis Coleto was the only judge for conformation. In the light of the high scores seen during the competition, the Committee has proceeded to analyze these, and has reached the conclusion that mandates as described in the Judging Manual as well as in the Competition Rules and Regulations were not followed, in which case, the corresponding disciplinary actions have been launched against the judge. With the procedure being underway, and having not received any notifications, claims or allegations from Luis Coleto in his defense, the Technical Committee of Judges has proceeded to discipline said judge with a two-year suspension. This resolution is not yet final, as the interested party may present an appeal before the Executive Committee, in keeping with the established deadlines.
