Guateque IV, at Wellington’s (Florida, USA) 3-star International Dressage Competition
This international competition continues to move forward in Wellington, Florida (USA). Having surpassed the half-way point of this competition circuit, as it reaches week seven, Purebred Spanish Horses have once again triumphed in the United States. On this occasion, it was American-born Guateque IV, a PRE bred and owned by Coves Darden, with Canadian rider Ariana Chia holding the reins.
Throughout the international competition, the pair went from good to great thus launching a 2024 season with full strength. During the Grand Prix (GP), there were 18 pairs facing the center line, with Chia and Guateque IV among the top five thanks to an average of 67.022%. While participating in the Grand Prix Special (GPS), this pair was the last to enter the arena, but it placed among the best. More specifically, the pair earned the silver with an average of 70.298%, thus breaking their own personal record.
