On Saturday the 24th of February, Dockx and Malagueño LXXXIII, once again returned to write another page in PRE Dressage history. Dancing to the sound of Spanish melodies and the guitar of Paco de Lucia, the pair’s Freestyle performance was extremely difficult, as it combined exercises with maximum collection and extension that were performed with great ease. The judges rewarded Malagueño’s quality—especially the piaffe—with several nines. About the earn 80%, their final score was 79.300%, which earned them the gold medal. Teia Hernandez holding the reins of Romero de Trujillo concluded her participation among the Top 10 thanks to a score of 72.790%.
For a second consecutive year, a Purebred Spanish Horse stood on the highest step of a 5-star International Dressage Competition podium. This success is a fantastic presentation when promoting Spain’s most famous breed to the world.
