Stop the press! Computerized Breeder Agenda

The Computerized Breeder Agenda, created by ANCCE in collaboration with the firm ICINETIC, was presented on the 26th of November in the Ronda Room at the Palacio de Congresos (Convention Center), coinciding with the celebration of SICAB 2008.

This Agenda is a computer tool available to all PRE breeders, which provides the opportunity to mechanically handle any incidence affecting their stud farm, in any area (veterinary science, covering/breeding plans, LG-PRE-ANCCE Stud Book registration information, management of information on a specific horse, various calculations of consanguinity: in the case of eventual crossings, and with regards to the percentage of the breeder’s own stud farm, as well as in all PRE horses, etc).

The information affecting each stud farm will be up-dated automatically on-line; therefore the aforementioned calendar does not require any type of additional maintenance through the year.

As has previously been announced, ANCCE has acquired a limited number of these agendas, which will be made available to its members as follows:

    -    Full members: free of charge.  All you need to do is requests the Agenda by e-mail: prensa@ancce.com or fax to: (+34) 954-690-327, and it will be sent to you at no additional cost.
    -    Associate members: In this case, you must be request the Agenda by calling the ANCCE Office, (+34) 954-689-260 or by e-mail: prensa@ancce.com and pay the €75 fee.

All other PRE breeders, who are not members of ANCCE, may also request a copy of the Agenda by calling the LG-PRE-ANCCE Stud Book office: (+34) 954-975-480 or e-mail: direccion@lgancce.com using the standard Request for Service, marking it with the code 218 “other”, specifying the word “agenda”, and attaching a €100 proof of the payment.

ANCCE is a private, non-profit organization; therefore, it does not seek to compete, from the marketing point of view, with any other company or corporation. Its only objective focuses on offering the sector a service, since it is an obligation of ANCCE to promote the breed throughout the world and to handle the PRE Stud Book, by express administrative concession made by the Ministry of the Environment, and Rural and Marine Affairs.

The fact that ANCCE is a non-profit body is stated in the Association by-laws, , as it is “facilitating access, both to the associations, and to breeders who are not members of ANCCE in all aspects related to the Stud Books” (Art. 9, section C, last point). The creation and distribution of the Breeder Agenda falls under this aim.
