    Excellent Promotion and Representation of PRE Horses at EQUITANA 2023

    Essen (Germany) hosted one of the world’s most important equestrian trade fairs from the 9th to the 15th of March. ANCCE participated at EQUITANA with a stand to promote Purebred Spanish Horses at this 17th consecutive edition. The ANCCE stand being a meeting place for German, Spanish and other international breeders, as well as a conference center for the Association.

    Twice a day, PRE Horses performed working equitation (WE), which is a very popular discipline in Germany. Spanish rider Victor Richarte, currently living in Germany, collaborated with this effort. He competes with Purebred Spanish Horses on the international WE competition circuit in Europe.

    Throughout this seven-day event, more than a hundred registration services were provided to breeders from Germany, Austria, Belgium and Holland. Equally, a number of meetings were held with important equestrian institutions, including the European Equestrian Business Association (EEBA), the Germany Equestrian Federation and the Equestrian Federation in Beijing. Specialized international press was on hand with magazines such as Malgret Tout, Feine Hilfen and China Horse International. Likewise, there were several contacts between PRE importers and Germany training centers, meetings with EQUITANA executives and Hop Top Show performers.

    Spain was represented by Rafael Eraso, owner of Yeguada Torrehermosa, who had a stand and horses in the arena, together with Nicolas Mendoza from Yeguada Mendoza Cadema, Domingo Torrens from Yeguada Torrens Galan and Judit Anda from Yeguada La Cartuja-Hierro del Bocado.

    Several Germany PRE breeders also participated actively with stands and horses. These included Verein der Freunde PRE, breeder Klaus Scharmer from Haus Dohr Stud Farm, Almuth Bianca Schneider from Yeguada Camino Andaluz, Linda Müeller from Gestüt Paraiso, Franziska Weyer from Yeguada Casa Estanque and Sandra Sommer from Barockgestüt und Landwirtschaft Treidelhof.
