SICAB 2022: Sports Information
Information regarding the World PRE Horse Championship and the various ANCCE Cups
SICAB 2022, the International Purebred Spanish Horse Trade Fair, is just round the corner. This event will be held from the 15th to the 20th of November in the city of Sevilla (Spain), during which, the following competitions will be held:
World Conformation Championship for PRE Stallions and Mares

-- The novelty this year is that there is a single deadline for all entries, whatever the discipline and for exhibition horses. Entries may be presented as of October 3rd at 9:00 am.
1. DEADLINES:
Deadline to send in entries: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28th (UNTIL 6:59 pm)
-- Date as of which substitute placements will be applied in Conformation and the ANCCE Cup for Dressage:
As of Friday, October 28th at 7:00 pm until Wednesday, the 2nd of November at 1:59 pm.
-- Date for post deadline horses in other disciplines:
As of Friday, October 28th at 7:00 pm until Wednesday, the 2nd of November at 1:59 pm.
Once the entry deadline has been reached (Friday, October 28th), substitute placements will be applied to Conformation qualifications and the ranking for the ANCCE Cup for Dressage.
**IMPORTANT: All qualified horses that fail to turn in their entry before Friday, the 28th of October, WILL LOSE THEIR CONSIDERATION AS QUALIFIED. This consideration will be granted to the next horse on this list for the various sections/levels, and will not depend on the timetables and/or availability of arenas, etc.

3. ASPECTS TO REMEMBER:
--Entries to Conformation: It is MANDATORY that you send in your entry using the 2022 SICAB online system from the Private Zone on the PRE Stud Book web site platform www.lgancce.com. This platform also allows you to make credit card payments.
Substitute Placement Entries for the Conformation Competition: This is the only case in which pdf entry forms will be processed until the entry deadline. For the substitute placements to be applied, the rules indicated in Appendix IV of the Competition Rules & Regulations will be applied.
Other payment options: bank transfer, in cash or credit card at the main ANCCE office. When using this latter option, you need to provide the card number and expiration date by phone.
-- Entries for the ANCCE Cup for Dressage and All Other Disciplines: You may present your entry using the 2022 SICAB online entry system from the Private Zone on the PRE Stud Book web site or by downloading the entry form from both the ANCCE and SICAB web sites. Please be informed that there are a maximum number of participants per test, as indicated in the Preliminary Program for each discipline, except in the case of Dressage, the Final for which allows the participation of those horses that have qualified, in keeping with the 2022 ANCCE Cup Rules & Regulations.
Substitute Placement Entries for the ANCCE Cup for Dressage: such entries shall be processed using the pdf format prior to the deadline, for substitute placements, and need not be paid for until the place has been confirmed.
-- Entry for Exhibition Horses: in terms of the requests received to exhibit horses, the Organizing Committee may accept or reject the entry of said horse/s based on the availability of space. Priority will always be given to those horses for exhibit belonging to Full-fledged members of ANCCE and those horses that participate in any of the various disciplines that are part of SICAB.
As has been the case in recent editions, there will be a specific area to exhibit and sell horses (there are a limited number of spaces in the area for stallions and mares).
Entries are considered confirmed once the entry fee has been paid in full. Once an entry has been paid for, under no circumstances will the amount paid be retuned once the final deadline has been reached.
Should you be interested in reserving a tack room stall, the fee is €220 for Full-fledged members and €320 for all other participants. Tack room stalls are subject to availability. Under no circumstance are the organizers responsible for theft. As has been the case in recent years, there are also construction sheds that may be used as tack rooms. There a limited number of sheds, so you are encouraged to reserve one well in advance. (Once again, the organizers are not responsible for theft.)
Tack Room Construction Shed:

All other participants: €550
As was the case at previous editions, and given the damage to sheds at previous editions, a €150 security deposit is charged, which is not included in the contracting fee. This amount shall be returned once the keys are returned and the shed is in the same condition as when it was initially turned over. Nevertheless, should damages exceed the €150 deposit, damages will be invoiced by the service provider to the lessee.
**Remember that 21% VAT must be added to all amounts indicated herein, whether the entry fee or the contracting of a tack room stall or shed. (The only exception is the deposit for the shed).
4. GENERAL COMPETITION INFORMATION:
Reception of Horses:
Sunday, the 13th and Monday, the 14th of November (9:30 am to 8:00 pm).

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL HORSES NOT BE ALLOWED ONTO THE FAIR GROUND OUTSIDE THE ESTABLISHED DAYS AND TIMES.
Documents to be presented:
Original and photocopy of the PRE Passport and Official Veterinarian Certificate indicating disinfection in origin, as well as compliance with all other 2022 Health and Welfare Specifications.
Exit of Horses:
Sunday, the 20th of November, as of 7:00 pm. The only exception is with the approval of the official competition veterinarian. All horses must leave SICAB 2022 grounds before 1:00 pm on Monday, the 21st of November. As of that point in time, Organizing Committee is no longer responsible for the safety and security of any remaining horses.

All ANCCE Cup for Dressage prize money in the categories for 4, 5, 6, and 7-year olds, Prix St. Georges and Grand Prix is as indicated:

ANCCE Cup for Doma Vaquera:
This year, the novelty is, and in compliance with the 2022 ANCCE Cup for Doma Vaquera Rules & Regulations, preference will be granted to the top five (5) entries presented for each level on the 2022 ANCCE Cup ranking.
Should any of the qualified horses fail to present its entry for this Final on time, said horse will lose its status as qualified in favor of the horses presenting ANCCE with its entry form, whether or not said horse qualified.
4-year-old horses: Exercise sheet for 4-year-olds
5-year-old horses: Exercise sheet for 5-year-olds
6-year-old horses: Exercise sheet for 6-year-olds
Intermediate 7-year-old horses and older: Intermediate exercise sheet.
Absolute Level: Exercise sheet for experienced 7-year-old or older, and Special Grand Prix for 7-year-olds and older.

The Champion of the ANCCE Cup Final for Doma Vaquera in each category will be the horse with the highest number of points earned upon tallying the points on each day of competition, following the qualification criteria indicated in Spain’s Royal Equestrian Federation Rules for Doma Vaquera.

ANCCE Cup for Spanish High School:
This year, there are changes, in compliance with the 2022 ANCCE Cup Rules for Spanish High School. Preference will be granted to the entries of the first five (5) horses per level, as qualified on the 2022 ANCCE Cup ranking.
Should any of the qualified horses fail to present its entry for this Final on time, said horse will lose its status as qualified in favor of the horses presenting ANCCE with its entry form, whether or not said horse qualified.
In any case, to participate in the ANCCE Cup Final, all horses must have participated in at least one (1) competition throughout the season.

The Champion of the ANCCE Cup Final for Spanish High School in each category will be the horse with the highest number of points earned on each day of competition, following the qualification criteria indicated in Spain’s Royal Equestrian Federation Rules for Spanish High School.

ANCCE Cup for Working Equitation:
Prior qualification or preference of the entry: eight (8) horses per level on the 2022 ANCCE Cup ranking. Participants must have competed at one (1) competition throughout the season.

ANCCE Cup for Show Jumping:
There are two (2) test categories:
- Juniors: U12 (Alevines) and U14 (Infantiles). This test is for riders in the categories indicated (U12 and U14) but their participation has no economic award; they appear in the first places of the starting order.
- Open: any rider may participate, including juniors.
JUNIORS OPEN
Day 1: 0.80 m 1.10 m
Day 2: 1.00 m 1.20 m
Daily tests are judged using the A scale with a chronometer. For the final classification, all points from the two tests are tallied. In the case of a tie once both days have been tallied for the five top places of the Open category or the top three of the Junior categories, there is a timed play-off on the second day.

Awards for the Open:
Juniors participating in the Open are not eligible for monetary awards.
Awards are granted at the Victory Ceremony upon conclusion on the second day, with the horses in the competition arena. In the case of the Open, the top three (3) winners and the top three (3) in the category for Juniors together with all of the junior participants shall be at the ceremony in the arena.
Horses participating in Show Jumping must leave the SICAB grounds on Wednesday, the 16th of November once the competition has concluded.
ANCCE Cup for Carriage Driving:
For the Combined Carriage Driving Competition, contestants may enter as Singles, Pairs and 4-in-hand.

Traditional Carriage Driving:
The entry for this category is free of charge, as stalls are not used. As was the case at previous editions, the reception of horses and carriages for these horses is the truck/trailer parking lot, right behind Pavilion 3. Once the event concludes, participants shall leave the grounds.
All participants must have their valid Federation License or have Liability Insurance (A copy of which must be sent to ANCCE in advance).
To enter this category, you must specify it in the space for observations: TRADICION (Traditional Carriage Driving).
Exhibition Competition:
Exhibition presentations are open and may cover any sport or artistic category. The duration must not surpass six (6) minutes. A brief explanation of the performances shall be provided, as well as the music to be used.
All participants must have their valid Federation License or have Liability Insurance (A copy of which must be sent to ANCCE in advance).
The Awards are:
ANCCE Cup for Side Saddle Riding:
Side Saddle riders may use any one of the following styles: Vaquera, Spanish High School or Dressage. There are two (2) levels in each category. The classification is based on levels. Participation is open to any age group, whether the horse or the rider.
This test shall be held and Awards granted if and when there are at least three (3) side saddle riders entered in a given category.
All horses and their riders shall have a valid regional Federation License.
Side Saddle Dressage

Authorized Mouthpiece: Snaffle or Snaffle and Curb bit
Side Saddle Spanish High School
Level: Kür Young Horses
Level: Kür Intermediate

6. GENERAL INFORMATION:
All breeders participating in SICAB 2022 with horses entered in the Conformation Competition and Exhibition have a right to two (2) invitations to access the grounds for each horse entered.
Breeders that enter horses for the ANCCE Cup Final for Dressage, Doma Vaquera, Spanish High School, Working Equitation, Show Jumping, Side Saddle, Carriage Driving and the Exhibition Competition shall receive two (2) invitations per horse entered, if an when that same horse is not entered for the Conformation Competition.
Remember that this year, we are unable to attend requests to be “next to” as it is physically impossible to organize such demands.
As is customary, participating owners may purchase hard feed, oats, hay, alfalfa, straw and shavings. The initial bedding is provided free of charge.
For all disciplines, the organizers understand that the economic awards are gross earnings; therefore, these are subject to the corresponding internal revenue tax retentions or deductions.
Federation License
All participants, whatever the discipline, both horse and rider must have at least a valid Federation License. In those cases in which the contestants are from the region of Andalusia, a valid Regional License is enough. Contestants from outside the region of Andalusia must have a National License.
Life Insurance
Please remember that the organizers of SICAB do not provide life insurance for horses, as has been the case in recent years.
Liability Insurance
All horses participating in the Conformation Competition and the Exposition of horses shall pay ten euros (€10) for liability insurance. This amount is generated automatically when presenting the entry form on the PRE Stud Book web site. Later, the insurance company generates the policy for each horse entered on these two categories.
Emergency Veterinarian Services
In the case of emergency equine care, any costs derived from travel and assistance by the veterinarian clinic contracted by the organizers shall be paid for by the owner of said horse.
Lastly, remember that to enter a horse, receive breeder documentation, reserve a stand or participate in any way in SICAB 2021, you must be in good standing with ANCCE.
