[PDF] List of Young Recommended Breeding Horses
This possibility is applicable only to those breeders who are Full-fledged members of ANCCE who register their foals (Service 103) and pay the corresponding fee during 2022 and 2023. (Remember that to enjoy this possibility, breeders and members must be in good standing in terms of membership fees, etc.). Breeders are not eligible for this option if the registration is past the due date (Service 127). The registration fee (Service 103) must be paid for, and once the proposed Young Recommended Breeding Horse parentage is confirmed, that amount will be returned or if the breeder prefers, left in his/her favor to be used at any time in the future for Stud Book operations, except promotional services.
This specific promotion is not applicable to cases of incompatible parentage (Service 504).
The objective of this latest measure it to grant continuity over time so that at the end of each year when this list of Young Recommended Breeding Stock is published, the offspring of these horses may be registered free of charge in the LG PRE ANCCE Stud Book. Therefore, we encourage breeder to test—through their descendants—those horses that are annually granted the genetic category of Young Recommended Breeding Stock. It is through the descendants that the genetic qualities found in and transmitted to these horses are verified.
Furthermore, it must be mentioned that in recent years, the PRE Breeding Program is, for the most part, focused on Dressage, as this is the discipline with greatest PRE participation; thanks to this, genetic assessments are facilitated. However, the time has come to include other disciplines such as Working Equitation and Spanish High School, as these sports improve the marketing perspectives of PRE Horses while at the same time providing breeders with the possibility of selecting those horses that transmit good traits for the various sports, thus allowing them to breed based on their own preferences.
All Breeding Programs need a significant number of participants in the performance tests so that the genetic assessment values obtained are sufficiently reliable. That is why ANCCE calls upon all breeders and encourages them to participate with their horses in the various selection tests where data is collected for the PRE Breeding Program.
