Jose Daniel Martin Dockx and Malagueño LXXXIII were brilliant at CHIO-Aachen with a well-deserved third place on the general classification

Guillermo Garcia Ayala and Poeta de Susaeta were fifth in Intermediate I of the 4-star CDI

The Aachen Nations Cup, held from the 16th to the 19th of September is the international competition par excellence. All in all, there were seven teams battling for victory: Germany, the United Kingdom, Holland, Sweden, Spain, the USA and Canada.
Spain had a PRE on its team—Jose Daniel Martin Dockx riding Malagueño LXXXIII, owned by Francisco Santiago. This pair represented Spain and Purebred Spanish Horses as never before. After a successful season, Aachen confirmed what we already knew, and with averages of 71.717% and 72.787%. Once again, and thanks to this wonderful pair, Spain and PRE Horses are at the zenith of world Dressage.

On day one of the competition (GP) the precision and elegance of their trot was most outstanding. However, it was their piaffe that the judges rewarded them with an 8.5; this places them 12th. On the second day (GPS), the pair once again impressed everyone with their piaffe, but they also executed impressive pirouettes, which moved them up to third place. This made them the best of Spain’s team quartet.

Guillermo Garcia Ayala in the saddle of Poeta de Susaeta from Yeguada Susaeta debuted in the German arena and they did it in the St. Georges-Intermediate 4* level of the CDI. This pair—they are also champions of the Criterium National—have once again shown they are in wonderful shape. Their international presentation has been noteworthy—they are among the top 5 thanks to their fifth place. On both days, this pair earned scores of nine and several eights, which earned them averages of 72.176% (fifth place) and 71.971% (fifth place) respectively.

With their presentations, both pairs have proven above all doubt that PRE Horses are among the best of this sport. They have gifted us with a wonderful breed image at the heart of world Dressage.
