ANCCE Signs an Agreement with the Sevilla City Hall, a Major SICAB 2021 Collaborator
The Sevilla City Hall Office for Major Festivities increases its support for the International Purebred Spanish Horse Trade Fair by 50%. With this, it becomes a major SICAB collaborator, as the event being the third most important event held in the city in terms of economic turnover.
The President of the National Purebred Spanish Horse Breeders’ Association (ANCCE), Jose Juan Morales, and Government Delegate and Sevilla City Hall Alderman for Major Festivities Juan Carlos Cabrera have signed an agreement by which the City Hall becomes a major collaborator in SICAB, the International PRE Horse Trade Fair. This year, the event seeks to return to its standard format—if and when the pandemic so allows—and will be held this November at the FIBES Fair Grounds.
Thus, the Sevilla City Hall Office for Major Festivities becomes a SICAB collaborator with a total of 150,000 euros. This is a fifty percent increase of municipal funds with regards to previous editions. It is noteworthy that in economic terms, SICAB is the third most important event held in the city of Sevilla.
At its last edition with a traditional format—2019—SICAB enjoyed more than 230,000 visitors, which led to an economic impact of 38 million euros. All in all, there were 321 commercial stands and 1077 horses from 343 stud farms.
The 2020 edition was held in October, with important restrictions being imposed due to the pandemic. In this case, the size and magnitude of the event was reduced in size.
Juan Carlos Cabrera, Government Delegate and Sevilla City Hall Alderman for Major Festivities, underscored the importance of SICAB for the city, as it “not only enriches the number of major events held here, but it also plays a significant economic role while at the same time being a showcase for the excellence of Spanish Horses, which in turn, is culture, tradition and the marketing of related trades. All of these are aspects for which ANCCE will always count on the support and backing of the Sevilla City Hall when celebration this event”.

This 2021 edition coincides with SICAB’s 30th anniversary—to be held from the 16th to the 21st of November. ANCCE is already working jointly with the Area of Government and Sevilla City Hall Office for Major Festivities.
