Lucas Marin and Solo de Centurion are record-breakers at Ermelo 2019 thanks to an 81% average
Today was a before and after for the Spanish delegation at the Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses. For a second consecutive year, Purebred Spanish Horses have surpassed the 80% barrier at this Olympus for Young Horses.
The second and final competition for Lucas Marin in the saddle of Solo de Centurion was this morning at the Small Final for 6-year-olds. Once their test concluded, the president of the judges, Christoph Hess, offered comments on behalf of the judges, who pointed out the regularity of the trot, the clear rhythm of their steps at walk, the uphill tendency while cantering and above all, the perfect symbiosis between horse and rider. In terms of presentation in hand, it was flawless; Lucas showed harmony combined with an execution that flowed smoothly from one exercise to another. This earned him an 8.8 in submission. Other scores included 7.8 for trot, 7.5 for walk, 8.2 for caner, 8.8 for submission and 8.5 for perspective. Lucas Marin and Solo concluded their representation in Ermelo with excellent results to break their own personal record with a score of 8.10, thus occupying 7th place on the roster.
The gray pearl from Yeguada Arroyomonte, Molinero FS, was the second PRE to enter the Ermelo arena. Son of Ermitaño III, with Alberto Garcia holding the reins, the pair carefully executed the exercises, with good balance at canter and a walk that perfectly identifying all four beats. Molinero FS proved the quality of his paces for which he is so well known. Thanks to his excellent attitude in the arena, his final score was 7.50.
Lastly, but no less important was the 7-year-old pair. They meet expectations with a very correct performance. The first to enter the arena was Lucas Marin riding Rhin de Centurion whose final score was 69.345. This pair maintained the tone; this Yeguada Centurion horse performed a wide range of two-track exercises. Along this same line, Juan Manuel Galeano with Resuelto Cen, also from Yeguada Centurion, performed a very fluid test. Their final score was 69.654 with an outstanding trot that earned an 8.3.
