PRE horses/riders selected for the 2019 World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses

Once the selection process for horses and riders—it began in March—concluded. National trainer Jürgen Koschel has reported the six pairs for the PRE Team and that will represent the Purebred Spanish Horse as a breed at the 2019 World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses. The event will be held in Ermelo Holland from the 1st to the 4th of August.

Regarding this competition, we now have all necessary post-selection information about participation.

The Organizers have informed that the event is limited to 8, 9 and 10 year-old horses that have already been participants at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses. Unfortunately, only two horses/riders are eligible to compete at this event.

It is a CDI3* event that is at the same level as any other and in which stud books that are members of the WBFSH are not granted priority. It is the national federation in each country that is fully responsible and has the authority to decide the pairs that will participate.

ANCCE, in an effort to promote Purebred Spanish Horses at the World Championship, will research to see if there are any PRE horse/rider pairs that meet these requirements. Should that be the case, their names will be presented before Spain’s Royal Equestrian Federation so that they may be registered for this competition, as might be the case.
