    DATES
The 28th edition of SICAB will be held from the 13th to the 18th of November at the fair grounds and convention center known as Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones in Sevilla (Spain).

    OFFICIAL SICAB CATALOG
SICAB edits its own Official Catalog, where you may advertise your stud farm or business. It is a very useful informative and advertising tool for people visiting the event. 5,000 copies are published, which are handed out free of charge to breeders and international visitors; throughout the year, it is also distributed at national and international fairs and trade shows where ANCCE has a stand. Likewise, there is a digital version that is available in full at www.sicab.org and that is seen by 10,000 people.

The deadline to request an advertising insert and send in originals is Tuesday, the 16th of October. Included herein is the request form with the fees and rates for both breeders who are members of ANCCE and those who are not. Remember that space for breeders is limited, so if you are interested, take action as soon as possible.

    BREEDER BOXES
This year, and given the demand for space dedicated to breeders, the number of boxes has been increased to 44 instead of the 24 of previous editions.

You have until Friday, the 14th of September to present your request form, with the following specifics:
Preference will be given to those breeders who are members of ANCCE and who had a box during the 2017 edition.

The fee to contract a box is €1500 plus the corresponding VAT; exceptionally, in such case that a breeder contracts a box in addition to a stand, then the fee is €1000 plus VAT.

Preference contracting is until Friday, the 14th of September, if and when the contracting breeder or person responsible for the stud farm has sent in the signed registration form to the ANCCE office together with the signed form regarding the rules for the use of the breeder box, has paid the corresponding fee and said amount has been received by means of bank transfer to the account indicated on the contract form. These forms must also include a copy of the party’s ID or passport.

As of the deadline (September 14th) and without exception, any breeder box that has not been renovated as well as the new boxes, will be distributed among the breeders on the waiting list, on a strict first-come-first-serve basis. Preference will be given to those breeders who contract both a breeder stand and a box.

Those stud farms on the waiting list and who are granted a box will have ten (10) days to pay the corresponding fee. Should they fail to make the payment, that box will be granted to the next on the list.

    BREEDER STAND
This year, modular stand will have a new design. As has been the case at past editions, breeder stands will be housed in Pavilion 1, together with the arena where the conformation competition is held. If you are interested in having exhibition space, please fill out the reservation form, send it to the ANCCE office before 2 pm on Friday, the 14th of September and deposit the stand reservation fee of €600 by bank transfer to the account: IBAN ES22 3187 0812 8010 9498 7227 which is the saving & loan bank known Caja Rural del Sur. Remember that the organizers do not return deposits made due to cancelations.
When confirming the space and selecting a given location, preference is given to stud farms with a stand at previous editions; their requests will be attended on a first-come-first-serve basis once payment has been made. As of Saturday, the 15th of September, breeders with a stand at previous editions but who have failed to send in their reservation will lose their priority rights; said space will be distributed among those breeders requesting a stand and who had none at previous editions.

The specifics regarding set-up, timetables and general use are indicated on the contract form, which will be sent in due course.

Stands are 4 x 4 meters or multiples (8x4, 12x4, etc.) There are only three (3) stand measuring 6x4m. Dual-floor stands or those elevated above ground level pay a 60% surcharge over the general fee for the stand. The maximum surface area per stand contracted is eighty square meters (80m2).

Regarding the stands of SICAB sponsors, these have their own set-up specifications.

In those cases in which a stand offers guests some type of food, Spain’s health/sanitation legislation states that all staff must be contracted and registered with the Social Security office and in the case of waiters/waitresses, these must also have the corresponding food handler’s license. Compliance with such mandates is the sole responsibility of the contracting breeder.

    Remember the following prohibitions:
    a) The use of loudspeakers and amplifiers is forbidden. In the case of live performances, these may not begin until all conformation activities in the arena have concluded.
    b) No private security services may be contracted to hinder or limit access to the stands.

Failure to comply with these rules could lead to the immediate closure of the exhibition space.

    Conformation Entries:
This year at SICAB 2018, Conformation Entries MUST be presented using the online entry system, which is accessible from the Private Zone on the PRE Stud Book web site at www.lgancce.com. Payment may be made through the web site, either as a bank transfer or in cash.

    ANCCE Cup Entries:
Although there is an online entry system for horses participating at SICAB 2018, which is accessible from the Private Zone on the PRE Stud Book web site at www.lgancce.com, you may also enter a horse using the entry form that will be included in the next newsletter.

By accessing the Private Zone using your user name and password, go to the section “Services” where you will see the option “SICAB 2018 Entry Form.” By the end of August, this section will be accessible. Once you access, stud farm data will appear, invoicing information, a list of all horses registered with the PRE Stud Book and all relative information so that all you have to do is click to select those horses that will be participating in SICAB, in addition to the option to reserve a stall or shed as a tack-room. There is a box for observations where you may include any relevant information; for example, the names of horses that are not yet yours but that you wish to present, etc.

Breeders may select whether they want their mares participating in the Conformation or Exhibition Competition to have a stall or a pen. The number of stalls is limited; thus, if you are interested, please check the corresponding box on the entry form. Requests will be attended on a first-come-first-serve basis, with Full-fledged members having preference until all stalls/pens are occupied.

Entries are considered final once they have been paid in full. Once paid, said payment will not be returned, under any circumstance, as the organizers foresee contracting needs with suppliers and use the number of horses entered as reference.

Should you be interested in reserving a stall as a tack-room, the fee is €200 for Full-fledged members and €300 for all other participants. Occupancy is subject to availability. The organizers are not responsible for theft.

To safeguard against incidents, fully closed and locked tack-rooms are available (construction sheds) which may be shared by more than one stud farm. The rental fee is €400 for Full-fledged members and €500 for all other participants. As of this year, and given the damage to sheds at previous editions, a €150 security deposit will be charged, which is not included in the contracting fee. This amount will be returned once the keys are returned and the shed is in the same condition as when it was initially turned over. The deposit will be returned the week after SICAB. Nevertheless, should damages exceed the €150 deposit, these will be invoiced by the firm providing the service.
ANCCE is not responsible for theft in stands, breeder boxes, tack-rooms, etc.… As of Sunday, the 18th of November when SICAB closes its gates, you are recommended to keep all belongings secured.

    Liability Insurance:
As of this edition, the organizers do not have life insurance for horses. Please take note for this fact to take the necessary measures.

All participants must have liability insurance for each and every horse. A copy of the insurance policy must be emailed to the mail ANCCE office before the 6th of November to the attention of rolivares@ancce.com

Those participating in competitions are either members of the Equestrian Federation or are covered by Equestrian Federation insurance, the current license for which must be provided.

Likewise, please be informed that any fees derived from travel costs and veterinarian care for horses to clinics pre-arranged by the Organizers—such as an emergency—said cost shall be paid for by the owner of said horse.

To enter a horse, contract a stand, receive stud farm documentation or participate in any way at SICAB 2018, the breeder/participant must be in good standing regarding all economic obligations with ANCCE.
