Six Purebred Spanish Horses to participate at the 2018 World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo
Bermuda and Australia have chosen and entered PRE Horses in the 2018 World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses in Ermelo (August 2-5) through their corresponding Federations. On the one hand, Bermuda will have rider Annabelle Collins and Máximo BCN, owned by Yeguada Barcelona Horses, representing both their country and the breed in the category for 5-year-olds. Australia, on the other hand, has rider Anthony Pelling and Napoleón Candau from Yeguada Candau to participate in the test for Approved Stallions Test (CDI1*).

When compared with previous edition, there has been a noticeable increase in the participation of PRE horses/riders. This year, there are six PRE Horses in the World Championship and just last year, in 2017, there was on one Purebred Spanish Horse. Likewise, in the text CDI1* Approved Stallions Test, there will be three Purebred Spanish Horses, compared to only two last year—one of them selected by Bermuda.
The PRE team will soon be leaving Spain; as of July 28th, all horses will be bedded down at the Kasselmann facilities in Ankum (Germany), where will have time to get used to the weather and begin working with trainer Jürgen Koschel until July 31st. As of that date, horses will move to Ermelo for the competition from the 2nd to the 5th of August.
