New place assigned for the PRE at Ermelo 2018 CDI1*
Last Monday, ANCCE held a meeting with Spain’s Royal Equestrian Federation (RFHE) and ANCADES (National Association of Spanish Sport Horse Breeders) to register the names of the Purebred Spanish Horses participating in the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses from the 2nd to the 5th of August in Ermelo (Holland).
At the meeting, the RFHE informed ANCCE that due to the fact that the Spanish Sport Horse (CDE) had not selected any horses for the CDI1* approved stallion test, there was a vacancy, which was assigned to the Purebred Spanish Horse. It is understood that this is a promotional opportunity for the breed to enjoy double participation in the test.
Given the short notice to report back to the RFHE with the name of the stallion selected for the entry, ANCCE has maintained the same selection process as with the horse Juncal LXXXVII, which is based on the first places of the ANCCE Cup for Dressage (Prix St. Georges), as of June 11th. Thus, Armas Zelindo, owned by José Antonio Varona de la Cuadra and bred by Florencio Moreno, will be the PRE to accompany Juncal LXXXVII, owned by Alfonso Gormaz Navarro and bred by José Antonio Olivas Agustín in the tests.

Secretario MG owned by Jesús Úbeda Roncero and bred by Yeguada Marín García will attend as the reserve stallion. This horse will participate if and when any of the other horses/riders are unable to attend.
