PRE selection workshop for the 2018 World Breeding Dressage Championships
ANCCE appoints Jürgen Koschel from Germany as the PRE team trainer
ANCCE will summons all those horses/riders who surpass the minimal average as established by the FEI to participate in 2018 World Breeding Dressage Championships selection workshop to be held on the 4th and 5th of June, at the Amtuna CECYL equestrian center in Segovia, which has kindly offered its facilities.
ANCCE has contacted Jürgen Koschel from Germany as the trainer of the Purebred Spanish Horse team for this world-class event. His responsibilities include selecting the horses/riders that will represent our breed at this Championship; he will also provide them with advice regarding the preparation of the tests and the competition in Ermelo (Holland). He will also assess the horses between 4 and 6 years of age and those riders with major projection to prepare next year.
This selection process is mandatory for horses/riders seeking to participate in said Championship. Selected PRE hoses will be those that in the opinion of the trainer, is in the best physical and competitive condition at the time of the selection, independently of the averages obtained in 2018. Horses/riders summonsed for this workshop are advised to attend with the respective trainers.
The goal of these workshops is none other than to establish an organized relationship between PRE Horses/riders, which will be sent to Spain’s Equestrian Federation for the pre-entry Championship registration. Remember that according the FEI norms, and in keeping with the agreement reached with Spain’s Federation, the list of horse/riders is unalterable, except in the case of injury or outstanding circumstances that hinder the participation of a given component. The WBFSH allows the participation of two (2) horses per test, and these horses may be PREs, CDEs or another breed if the preference breeds fail to surpass the established requirements.
In this particular case, ANCCE only establishes the selection of PRE Horses. The final composition of the team going to Ermelo 2018 will depend on the scores obtained by other breeds, and the qualification criteria of CDE (Spanish Sport Horse) breeders and Spain’s Equestrian Federation.
Finally, participation in the selection workshops is free of charge for all those summonsed, and ANCCE will cover the stabling fee of horses owned by its Full-fledged members. All others must pay €50 per horse to the equestrian center for bedding and stabling.
