    The speech by Dutch trainer Bert Rutten about horse breeding and locomotion, now available on our YouTube Channel


    New video on the official ANCCE channel on YouTube

    The talk by trainer and president of the sire selection commission at the KWPN Horse Breeders’ Association, offered during the first part of the training course for Conformation Competition judges, held recently at Yeguada La Cartuja–Hierro del Bocado, is now accessible at ANCCE’s official YouTube channel.

    The speech was divided into two sessions; during the first, horses under saddle and in hand were analyzed and debated to reach common conclusions. Session two was used to view and debate twenty some videos of horses under saddle competing in Functionality Competitions. In the opinion of this Dutch expert, Spain and the Purebred Spanish Horses are taking on acclaim in the equestrian work and an excellent future awaits them.

    Rider, trainer, President of the KWPN Sire Selection Commission and member of the young KWPN horse selection team for the World Championship, Bert Rutten has been involved in the world of Dressage for more than 30 years. It is noteworthy that both Bert and his father participated in Dressage at the Los Angeles Olympics as rider and trainer, respectively. Later, he took over the reins from his father and trained the Dutch team of the Athens Olympics.
    Looking in the history books, by the end of 1980, Rutten appeared among the top twelve best riders in the world; at the age of 17 he participates in his first International Grand Prix.
