Memorandum from the Election Board
Likewise, the Election Board was also appointed. Once these members accepted their posts, on the 6th of March, the following agreements were adopted:
- Appointment of Responsibilities:
President: Miguel de Rojas Maestre
Secretary: Francisco Gutiérrez Espina
Member-at-large: Fernando Barquín Cortés
Substitute Member-at-large: Rafael López Méndez
- On the 8th of March, inform members that the election process has been launched, and its calendar.
- The timespan for the presentation of nominations begins on the 9th of March and concludes on the 9th of April (2018), inclusive. Candidacies must be presented as closed listed and sent to the ANCCE office by certified mail, fax, certified fax, or in person between 10 am and 2 pm.
As established in Article 35.2 of the Association Statutes, all nominations shall be composed of 48 members, indicating the name of the person seeking the presidency of the Executive Board. In an effort to avoid any type of problem, candidatures are recommended that five (5) substitutes be listed. All members of a given candidature must fill out two (2)sworn affidavits, which are to be included in the list, in addition to the documentation specified.
The Election Board reminds nominations that for these to be considered valid, the member must be in good standing with ANCCE and comply with all of the requirements established in Article 72.2 of the Statutes when the deadline for the presentation is reached.
The Election Board shall have until the 12th of April to proclaim the official candidacies.
- Proceed to publish the election census on the ANCCE web site, as of today.
The duly numbered census includes all members of ANCCE, indicating the corresponding representative, who may exercise his/her right to vote, independently of the fact that as of today, said member has economic debts with ANCCE, which may be paid using any of the following means:
o In cash: until 12 (noon) of Friday, the 25th of May, 2018.
o By bank transfer or other payment method, but always deposited into the ANCCE bank account before 12 (noon) on the 25th of May, 2018.
Members who within this given timespan fail to cover any pending debts with the association, shall be excluded from the election census.
- Members who wish to update their representative, as foreseen in Article 11 of the Statutes, shall have until the 23rd of March, 2018.
- Vote by mail:
The form to request voting ballot by mail has been approved. This may be sent to the Association until the 9th of May. As of that date, no requests will be attended. All votes by mail must be accompanied by a copy of the ID or passport of the person whose name appears as the representative in Association files. This must be faxed to the Election Board (+34 954 690 327) or sent by email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Under no circumstance shall documents to vote by mail be sent to those requesting it prior to the official announcement of candidacies by the Election Board. Said documents shall be sent by certified mail to the known address of the breeder requesting it. If the address is a post office box, a postal address will be requested for the documents to be sent.
Votes by mail that have been issued without any prior request, these shall be considered void.
Remember that the Extraordinary General Assembly where the elections will be held is the 26th of May, coinciding with the ANCCE Ordinary Assembly. Ballots may be cast in person from 10 am until 12 noon.
The census shall be divided into three (3) equal parts, using the number assigned to each member as the reference. Three voting boxes (polling stations) shall be provided, with one member of the Election Board in charge of each. Said member may be accompanied by an auditor from each candidacy and by ANCCE administrative staff, as needed. Members from each section of the census shall vote at their assigned voting poll.
