ANCCE will once again participate at the USPRE PRE Horse Week in Wellington, Florida

USPRE Week is a week full of activities dedicated to the PRE Horse, the objective of which is to promote the breed in the United States

ANCCE will once again participate in the PRE Horse Week organized by USPRE, the US Purebred Spanish Horse Association. The dates are the 23rd to the 27th of January, in Wellington, Florida in an effort to back and support American representatives and breeders—members of ANCCE and USPRE—as well as riders participating in the various international competitions within the scope of CDI Dressage.

Ignacio Candau, member of the ANCCE Executive Committee and Manuel González, the Executive Secretary, will be travelling to Wellington for the five-day event where USPRE has summonsed national and international breeders, trainers and Olympic riders to enjoy a number of activities that have been organized to establish commercial ties and educate the sector.

This year, the chosen topic renders tribute to horses in history and the development of PRE Horses over the years. The annual USPRE Fest, on Wednesday, the 24th of January, will present a number of important performers, including a Pas de Deux, a group of gray horses and individual performances that underline the power and beauty of this unbelievable breed.

Included in the program, on Friday morning at Hampton Green Farm facilities, Antonio González Valenzuela, equine physical therapist and osteopath with Spain’s National Team, will offer the same seminar that he presented at SICAB 2016 assisted by rider Guillermo Garcia Ayala. Later, USPRE will offer a luncheon at HGF, to then hold a roundtable with breeders. The main topic will verse on the current problems and tendency facing PRE breeders and the updates and explanations announced by ANCCE regarding the Young Horse World Championship (ERMELO).

One of the most noteworthy activities of the week will be a Master Class with Andreas Helgstrand, on Friday, the 26th during the Freestyle interlude. Helgstrand will share his years of experience, both as a team rider and a Grand Prix trainer of horses, in addition to an European leader in the sales of sports horses. During this 30-minute class, he will train a couple of PRE Horses for Grand Prix. Mikala Münter, member of the Danish team, and American U25 rider Kerrigan Gluch, will be riding the PRE horses. Andreas will share valuable ideas and training tips, dedicated specifically to PRE horses competing in Grand Prix.

For five days (January 23 to 27), PRE Horses will conquer Wellington.
