Official presentation of the 28th edition of the 2018 SICAB poster at FITUR

SICAB 2018 will be held from the 13th to the 18th of November at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones (Fairgrounds) of Sevilla
The new image of the 28th edition of the International Purebred Spanish Horse Trade—SICAB 2018—and the 4th World PRE Horse Champion was presented this morning at the hand of the Sevilla City Hall, within the framework of FITUR, the International Tourism Fair, currently being held in Madrid.
The presentation enjoyed the participation of Antonio Muñoz, the Sevilla City Hall Alderman for Urban Habitat, culture and Tourism; Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros, the High Commissioner for Marca España; Juan Tirado, President of ANCCE and organizer of SICAB; HRH Princess Beatriz de Orleans; Teresa Baca, Fashion Model from Sevilla; and Manuel Higueras, author of the poster “El sueño de los cartujos” (Carthusian Dream). Also, Jesus Rojas, manager of FIBES and Jose Juan Morales, Vice-President of ANCCE were also on hand for the event.
Antonio Muñoz inaugurated the presentation stating that “SICAB and everything it represents are key for Sevilla’s economic and tourist development. Undoubtedly, and more than ever before, we must be near SICAB, as it is an event that has greatly contributed to our city for the past 27 years.”
Likewise, Espinosa de los Monteros underlined the fact that SICAB and the Purebred Spanish Horse are ambassadors for “Marca España,” not only thanks to the prestige that breeding such a horse, and the preservation of it unique traits, but due to the fact that the PRE, produced in Spain, is a major industrial sector that creates wealth for the country and one that is exported to more than 65 countries.
Tirado appreciated the collaboration that the Sevilla City Hall has provided both to ANCCE and SICAB from the very beginning. This support means that SICAB, year after year, maintains levels of quality and importance to place it as one of the most important single-theme events in the world. He continued his speech by presenting the impressive work by Manuel Higueras García from Malaga, titled “El sueño de los cartujos” (Carthusian Dream). He also announced the dates of the 28th edition of SICAB, to be held from the 13th to the 18th off November, at the fairgrounds known as Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones of Sevilla, “in which case, we once again hope that it is a true success for both breeders as well as for national and international visitors.”
Finally, Manuel Higueras, author of the official poster, congratulated ANCCE for the initiative behind the public contest; there were 71 contestants who participated in this contest, from 11 countries. He explained that the artwork is an oil painting on canvas that contributes to Purebred Spanish Horse history in which the sole protagonist is a gray horse in freedom with a background of Carthusian influence.
