Thank you note from the President of ANCCE
Although we have yet to recuperate from the physical and emotional battering we all face with each new edition of SICAB, and who in my case, this will be my last event as President, I want to express my most sincere appreciation for your collaboration in this event, which once again, has been a resounding success.
For me, these four editions that I have supervised are not only a huge responsibility, but also a challenge both professionally and as a breeder. I have always felt comfortable in the role, and it has been thanks to all of you who one way another, have been involved in this impressive endeavor.
I have always considered SICAB as ANCCE’s pet project, because it is our true showcase. SICAB belongs to no one; it is, nevertheless, the wealth of an entire sector. Presidents come and go, but SICAB continues and it is all thanks to your efforts as breeders, professionals and of course, your investment.
SICAB, in my opinion, must not be an expense for ANCCE, but rather an asset that produces dividends. Those dividends, at least the most important from my vantage point, are not the massive audience, the repercussions in the media, nor other adjacent aspects which although decisive, do not have direct effects on a given breeder. The best that SICAB can and must provide is to be the guideline for marketing and selling our horses. Honestly, this year I am happier than ever with the results.
I am delighted to know that many breeders have sold their products at this 2017 edition. That, and nothing more, is the true objective of SICAB.
But for it to all happen, we need to improve an endless number of aspects, from organizational to breeders, and everything in between, and with the many aspects involved. That is why this year, I ask for your personal contributions and critique so that the next generation in this post will be in a position to do things better and in a more productive way for all of our members.
SICAB is important for what it represents and not for those who organize it within the scope of ANCCE history. Presidents conclude their terms in office, but our obligation, the obligation of everyone, is for our showcase to progress. This can only be achieved with the help and support of each and every one of you.
I repeat, I greatly appreciate your participation. My door is open to any suggestion or contribution that would help make SICAB greater, more modern and more effective.
I wish you all the very best.
Juan Tirado Agudo
