    Seven PRE horses considered “Excellent” at the 14th PRE Selection Test Final for Dressage

    100% of the participants were Purebred Spanish Horses

    The PSCJ (Young Horse Selection Tests) for Dressage were held from the 12th to the 14th of October at the riding center known as Centro Ecuestre Castilla y León (CECYL) in Segovia. These Tests are coordinated by ANCCE and sponsored by Spain’s Ministry of Agriculture.

    Of the thirty-three participating horses, four PRE horses were granted the category Excellent for Dressage in the category for 4-year-olds. Molinero FS from Yeguada Arroyomonte placed first with an average of 76.600%. Of the participants in the category for 5-year-olds, two PREs were considered Excellent; the horse earning the highest score was Poeta de Susaeta (78.600%) owned by Yeguada Susaeta. There was a single horse in the 6-year-old category that was considered Excellent for Dressage: Romero de Trujillo from Yeguada Trujillo and bred by José Franco Sánchez placed first with an average of 76.400€.

    Likewise, a consideration of Very Good for Dressage was earned by three horses among 4-year-olds, one in 5-year-olds and five in the 6-year-old category.

    Three horses in the category for 4-year-olds were considered Good, as well as one among 5-year-olds and three horses in the 6-year-old category.

    These tests conclude the 2017 Dressage Performance Controls. Upon having earned the category as Young Recommended Breeding Stock, the names of these award winning horses will be listed in the corresponding catalog and in the PRE Stud Book for dissemination within the framework of the PRE Breeding Program.
