    General Information for SICAB 2017


    Organizational information regarding the 27th edition of the International Purebred Spanish Horse Trade Show--SICAB 2017, home of the 3rd World PRE Championship

    DATES
    The 27th edition of SICAB will be held from the 14th to the 19th of November at the Palacio de Congresos y Exposiciones (Fair Grounds and Convention Center) in Sevilla.

    Once again, ANCCE has signed an agreement with the El Corte Inglés travel agency to handle all hotel reservations during SICAB.     OFFICIAL SICAB CATALOG
    Annually, SICAB prepares an official catalog, where stud farms may include publicity, thus making it both a useful and informative tool for guest at the venue. 5000 copies are published for distribution, free of charge, to breeders and international guests. Throughout the year, these catalogs are distributed at national and international trade shows where ANCCE participates. Likewise, the digital version is published in full at www.sicab.org with more than 19,000 hits in 2016.

    The deadline to request publicity and to send in all originals is Monday, October 16th. Remember that space for stud farm publicity is limited; if you are interested, please reserve now!

    BREEDER STAND
    As was the case for previous years, breeder stands will be housed in Pavilion 1, adjacent to the arena where the Conformation Competitions are held. If you are interested in reserving exhibition space, you must formalize your reservation by filling out the form, depositing the reservation fee of six hundred euros (€600) into the Caja Rural del Sur account, with IBAN number: ES22 3187 0812 8010 9498 7227 – BIC: BCOEESMM187. Remember that this is a non-refundable deposit, should you later cancel your stand reservation once the September 14th deadline has concluded.

    When it comes to confirming and selection a location, priority is given to those stud farms having a stand at previous editions; requests are attended on a first-come-first-serve basis once payment has been made. As of Friday, the 15th of September, breeders who had stand at previous editions but who have not made the corresponding reservation will forsake all priority rights and that space will be designated to another breeder without him/her having had a stand at a prior edition. .

    The specification for set up, schedules and general usage are specified on the Breeder Contract Form, which will be sent in due course.

    Two-floor stands, or those elevated above the ground pay a 60% surcharge over the total fee for the stand. The maximum ground area available per stand is eighty square meters (80m2).

    In such case that the stand is a SICAB sponsor, said stand has its own system for set up.

    Should a stand plan to offer its guests food/beverage samples, remember that according to the current legislation and health-related mandates of Spain, those working as waiters/waitresses must be contracted and registered with the Social Security office as well as having the corresponding food handler license. Failure to comply with such aspects is the sole responsibility of the contracting breeder. .

    Remember that it is totally prohibited to have:
    a) Sound (PA) systems should there be live music. In the case of live performances, these may not begin until Conformation Competition activities in the pavilion have concluded.
    b) Security services that hinder or limit access to stands.
    Failure to comply with these rules may lead to the immediate dismantling of the stand


    ENTRY OF HORSES FOR THE PRE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP & THE ANCCE CUPS
    a) Deadline for the reception of entries:
    :: Conformation
    The deadline to enter horses is Monday, October 30
    - Past deadline entry: from October 31 until November 3. Entries will be accepted if there is availability.

    :: ANCCE Cup for Dressage
    The deadline to enter horses is Monday, October 30
    - Past deadline entry: from October 31 until November 3. Once past deadline entries have been accepted, the ranking in the ANCCE Cup for Dressage will be established to complete the various levels. Horses that although qualified in their level but that have failed to enter their horse before the established deadline will lose their place.

    :: All other ANCCE Cups
    The deadline to enter horses is: Friday, November 3rd.

    b) Priority for the entry of horses:
    Priority will be given to qualified horses over those for exhibit, but always respecting the preferences favoring Full-fledged members of ANCCE.

    c) Entry Fees

    :: Conformation
    - Full-fledged members: €125 (+VAT) the first three (3) horses and €110 (+VAT) as of the fourth horse.
    - Associate members: €180 (+VAT)
    - Non-members: €300 (+VAT)
    - Horses entering past the deadline: in all cases € 400 (+VAT)

    :: Exhibition
    - Full-fledged members: €150 (+VAT)
    - Associate members: €200 (+VAT)
    - Non-members: €400 (+VAT)

    :: ANCCE Cups
    1) Dressage:
    - Full-fledged members: €120 (+VAT)
    - Non-members: €150 (+VAT)
    - Past the deadline: € 400 (+VAT)

    2) Dressage for Juniors:
    - Full-fledged members: €120 (+VAT)
    - Non-members: €150 (+VAT)

    3) Carriage Driving:

    - 4-in-hand: €250 (+VAT)
    - Pairs: €200 (+VAT)
    - Singles: €150 (+VAT)

    4) Doma Vaquera, Show Jumping & Spanish High School

    - Each participating horse: €120 (+VAT)

    :: Exhibition Competitions
    - The first two, €120 (+VAT); as of the third horse, the fee is €110 (+VAT) each.

    :: Side-saddle Riders

    - Each participant: € 50

    All prices indicated, whether the entry of horses, the reservation of stalls or sheds must contemplate 21% VAT.

    Also, remember that there is an online entry system for horses going to SICAB 2017; just access the Private Zone on the PRE Stud Book web site.

    Once you access the web site, with your user name and password, go to the section Solicitudes (Requests) where you will find the SICAB 2017 Entry Form. There, you will see all of your stud farm and invoicing data, as well as a list of horses registered in the PRE Stud Book, with their corresponding information so that you can click on those participating at SICAB. There, you may also request a tack box or shed. In the box for observations, you may indicate relevant information, for example, the names of horses that are not yet in your name and that you wish to present, etc.

    If they so desire, breeders may select whether they want their mares in a pen or stall. The number of stalls is limited, so if you are interested, be sure to check the box on the entry form. Requests will be attended on a first-come-first-serve bases, with preference being granted to Full-fledged Members, until all have been designated.

    Entries are considered confirmed once all payments have been paid in full and in advance. Once this payment has been made, said amount will not be returned, whatever the circumstance. The organizers calculate supply needs using the actual number of horses entered as the basis when calculating provisions.

    If you are interested in reserving a tack room, it will cost €200 for full-fledged members and €300 for all others participants. Occupancy is subject to availability; the organizers are not responsible for theft or robbery.

    To safeguard such incidence, breeders are reminded that tack rooms (construction sheds) with lock and key are available. These sheds may be shared; the rental fee for full-fledged members is €400 and €500 for all other participants. Portable lighting is available for the construction sheds; this may be obtained by paying a €25 deposit, which will be reimburses once the equipment has been returned.

    Remember that 21% VAT must be added to all fees and amounts.

    To enter a horse, reserve a stand, receive breeder documentation or participate in SICAB 2017 in any way, you must be in good standing regarding all economic obligations with ANCCE.
