Breeder Alfonso Segura Nájera passed away this morning in Ciudad Real at the age of 88. Born in the parish of El Centenillo (Jaén), this entrepreneur and vocational breeder began breeding Purebred Spanish Horses when he was young.

In 2003, Segura Nájera was appointed Honorary Member of ANCCE thanks to his wide-ranging career as a PRE Breeder. How was a co-founder of the CEOE (Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations), engineer, both mining and industrial and was the founding president of the Castilla-La Mancha Horse Breeders’ Association.

His burial is today at 11 am at the San Pedro Parish Church in Ciudad Real.

He will always be remembered for his values as a breeder, his professional excellence, generosity and the warmth he showed to other breeders and his friends.

ANCCE is saddened by this news, and would like to sympathize with such a loss. Our prayers and sympathy go out to his family at such a moment of adversity.

    May God Bless.
