    Practical training sessions at SICAB

    Access is free for those attending the Trade Fair

    For the very first time, the International Purebred Spanish Horse Trade Fair (SICAB 2016) offers the 1st Practical Training Sessions. This initiative seeks to create a learning environment where breeders, enthusiasts and professionals access a series of conferences, both theory and practical.

    Subjects regarding the PRE Stud Book will be discussed, as well as the influence of genetics in the ability for sports, functionality or even the development of diseases. There will be an area dedicated to physical therapy techniques applied to horses and riders, the importance of nutrition, legislation when transporting horses, etc. Likewise, there will be exhibitions and conferences about a variety of disciplines, including Vaquera, Dressage and Spanish High School, to mention a few.

    There will be renowned speakers such has Jesús Fernández Martín, researcher for the Department for the Genetic Improvement of Animals, member of the National Research Institute and Agricultural and Food Technology (INIA) together with Mercedes Valera Córdoba, Professor at the University of Sevilla, specialist in Equine Genetic Improvement and responsible for the equine section at the MERAGEM Research Group and technical director of PRE Breeding Program. Other speakers include Olympic Dressage rider José Daniel Martín Dockx, and rider Pedro Urbina, Doma Vaquera Champion at SICAB, in addition to other specialists in a wide range of topics.
