ANCCE President meets the High Commissioner for Marca España

Last Friday, the High Commissioner for Marca España, Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros, received the President of ANCCE Juan Tirado, the president of the Press and Promotion Commission Pedro Pingarrón and the Executive Secretary Manuel Gonzales at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. The meeting sought to share priorities and promotional projects established by ANCCE to improve the foreign image of the Purebred Spanish Horse abroad and its international promotion through activities focusing on emerging markets such as Russia, China and the Arabian Peninsula.

The High Commissioner congratulated the President for his efforts leading the main PRE Association; he underscored the importance for Spain of ANCCE’s PRE-related activities and endeavors in more than 65 countries throughout the world. Likewise, he expressed his appreciation for the alliances that have arisen between the two organization, which have led to collaboration when promoting the Purebred Spanish Horse in both its national and international projects, and to back the brand Spain (Marca España) so that the PRE is declared Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture and the UNESCO.

During the meeting, his open-minded vision and the depth of analysis regarding the PRE, the activity that ANCCE generates and just how much Spain receives from the equine sector have all contributed to the value of the breed for MARCA ESPAÑA, both on the national and international scene.

Juan Tirado, on the other hand, was appreciative of the generosity shown by the High Commissioner, the institution he represents, the service and collaboration shown towards ANCCE. Thanks to this joint agenda, we will continue to face the many challenges and guarantee the promotion of PRE horses in Spain and abroad. Tirado also expressed his regard for the important role played by the High Commissioner since 2012 in planning, coordinating and promoting the many actions of public and private bodies working to promote the image of Spain throughout the world.
