Specifics Rules for the PRE Team
ANCCE has a team to select the Young Purebred Spanish Horses participating in the Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses. This event will be held from the 3rd to the 6th of August of this year 2023. The aforementioned team will include the General Sports Commission, led by its president, and a single international trainer, Jose Daniel Martin Dockx.
The international trainer will attend all International Dressage Competitions held in Spain to better follow the career of possible pairs for the Ermelo event. Said trainer will draft a report about each pair, which will be sent to the corresponding riders and breeders. Any given pair may ask ANCCE to provide them with training or collaboration from the international trainer. This specific training may be requested on the day prior to the commencement of the International Dressage Competition or on the day of the final test of each age group.
Several clinics will be organized; participants must attend at least two (2). These clinics are for pairs that have attained the minimal qualification scores established by Spain’s Royal Equestrian Federation. These places may include horses that have not achieved the established averages, but that in the opinion of the ANCCE selection team, are truly able to attain them.
In an effort to reduce travel times and expenses, the Selection Clinics will be held at equestrian facilities near the venue where the horses are competing for minimal qualifier scores.
Jose Daniel Martin Dockx, as the international trainer, will train the pairs selected at the clinics. These pairs will participate at the International Dressage Competitions held in Spain, at the Selection Clinics and at the final Clinic where the ultimate selection will be made as well as at the World Championship in Ermelo.
The final selection and list of pairs attending the World Championship will be drafted at the last qualification event held in Spain. Said event will be the International Dressage Competition known as CDI-YH, to be held in the city of Segovia from the 15th to the 17th of June, and on the 2 or 3 days after said event, depending on the number of candidates.
Participation at this competition and later clinic are mandatory for both the pairs and their trainers.
Under exceptional and duly justified circumstances, the trainer may present pairs before Spain’s Royal Equestrian Federation that fail to comply with any one of the requirements established in the Selection Rules for the Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses, drafted by Spain’s Royal Equestrian Federation, if and when all other FEI qualification mandates are met.
Once the final selection has been made, the international trainer will draft the final list of pairs selected for the World Championship and the substitutes for each level. Said list will be presented to the ANCCE Executive Committee by the General Sports Commission and approved by the Executive Committee.
Should the Organizing Committee of the Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses organize additional tests, and given that these are announced with limited time in advance, the ANCCE Dressage Team trainer will appoint those pairs that he considers will to the best at such events.
